What do you want done?
I would like Minecraft to add small ambient birds that spawn naturally in different biomes. These birds would mostly fly around, sit on blocks, and make natural sounds. Different biomes should have different types of birds (for example: small birds in forests, eagles in mountains, and desert birds like vultures).
Why do you want something done?
Right now, many biomes (especially forests and open areas) feel too quiet and empty. The sky often looks lifeless, and there is not enough ambient sound. Adding birds would make the world feel more alive and immersive without changing gameplay balance.
How do you want something done?
Birds should be simple ambient mobs, similar to bats and parrots. They do not need drops or complex mechanics. Their main purpose should be atmosphere:
-
They spawn depending on biome
-
They produce unique ambient sounds
-
They fly, land, and react to the player (for example, flying away when approached)
-
Their behavior could depend on time of day and weather
This would greatly improve immersion using relatively simple features, mainly through sound and small visual details.
