Minecraft Dungeons (the 1st one) works on Linux via Proton flawlessly. But unfortunately, the same can't be said about Mac, even when using Crossover. The only way to play Minecraft Dungeons on Mac is to use Parallels which is a subscription service that allows you to use Windows in a VM.

The first Minecraft Dungeons works on Linux via Proton, but today I bought the second one, and it doesn't.

    I get a screen with:

"The following components are required to run this program: Missing Gaming Services. Would you like to install them now?"

And when you click yes, the game just crashes. This seems to be caused by XGameRuntime.dll not being included with the game for systems that don't have Windows Gaming Runtime available (like Linux). This looks like a simple enough patch to allow Linux users to play via Proton.

This game can be huge on the Steam Deck. Thank you!

dungeons 1 works flawlessly on macos when using parallels, however dungeons 2 really lags during the intro sequence, and in the main menu all the models and textures are glitched. i didnt even try starting the game from the main menu since i cant even see my character. i really hope this is resolved since i really want to play it.
