The Raven is a new mob that can be found in forests across the overworld. It can be tamed and healed using pumpkin seeds. Once you have tamed it it can be used fot the transportation of items.
Lodestones You can shift-right click the raven with a bundle to tie the bundle on its neck. Then you can shift-right click it with a lodestone compass, causing it to fly to the lodestone and sit near it, waiting for the bundle to be taken.
Players On a server you can rename the bundle to :player_name to have the Raven fly with the bundle to the Player as long as they are online and in the same dimension.
Taking the Bundle After reaching its destination the Raven will just sit there. A player can shift-right click with a empty hand to take the bundle. After the bundle is taken, the Raven will fly back to its owner, if the owner is online and in the same dimension.
