When 1.16 came out, I really liked how they integrated parts of the nether into the end, which really connects these dimensions together. So, I wanted to suggest 3 new features for a potential end update.
1. Void growth. This seems somewhat related to skulk, but skulk existed after I thought of this idea. So basically, there's 5 blocks. there's the block of void growth, which generates in End Warps (below), and starts slowly spreading void growth around it using fuel. if the block is end stone, stone, or any stone variants, then the void growth will stay, and if it's an organic block (like wood, leaves, etc. it will turn into void rot and decompose the block into void growth block. void rot and void growth have the same properties as skulk veins. occasionally, void growth blocks will develop void traps, which are flower-like entities that trap mobs inside of them, providing a void growth block fuel. they are indestructible when closed, too. You can additionally craft these blocks into void fuel, which you can apply to void growth blocks to grow more.
2. End warps. Holes in the ground at the surface that get narrower as they get deeper and contain end stone and void growth. may also contain materials for getting to the end (like a map to a nether fortress)
3. End leaks. generating between y=48 and y=40, more common in the midpoint. they are little spheres with void growth, but if there's a cave nearby it will spread and infest the cave. works especially well with mob spawners!
