π Missing Features in Chaos Cubed
Β
π§ͺ 1. No Confirmed Uses for Cinnabar or Sulfur Beyond Building
We know the update adds Sulfur and Cinnabar blocks in many variants, but Mojang has not revealed:
- Any crafting recipes using these materials
- Any functional uses (potions, tools, redstone interactions, etc.)
- Any processing mechanics (smelting, grinding, combining)
Right now, they appear to be purely decorative, which feels incomplete for two major new resources.
Β
𧨠2. No New Explosives or Chemistry-Based Items
Given the themeβsulfur, cinnabar, toxic pools, and a chaos-focused mobβplayers expected:
- New TNT variants
- New chemical reactions
- New hazard blocks
- New status effects beyond nausea
Β
Β
π·οΈ 3. No Mini-Boss or Hostile Mob Variety
So far, the only new mob is the Sulfur Cube, which is passive and slime-like.
Missing elements include:
- A hostile mob for the sulfur caves
- A mini-boss or rare encounter
- Any unique drops beyond block absorption behavior
Β
Β
π 4. No New Cave Structures or Points of Interest
The Sulfur Caves biome is confirmed, but Mojang hasnβt shown:
- Any structures (shrines, vents, nests, ruins)
- Any loot chests
- Any unique generation features beyond sulfur pools
Right now, the biome is mostly blocks + 1 mob
Β
π«οΈ 5. No Environmental Interactions Beyond Nausea
The sulfur pools cause a nausea effect, but players expected more environmental depth, such as:
- Gas pockets that ignite
- Corrosion effects (armor)
- Light distortion or fog
The biomeβs theme suggests danger, but the mechanics are still minimal.
