Currently, sulfur cubes are only available in yellow. Allowing players to dye them would greatly expand their functionality and creativity.
With 16 dye colors, players could create color-coded teams for mini-games like soccer or golf, instead of being limited to a single yellow variant. Dyed sulfur cubes could also be customized to match specific blocks they interact with, helping them blend seamlessly into builds or stand out as decorative elements.
In more complex Redstone systems—especially those involving multiple sulfur cubes—different colors could be used to clearly identify which cube corresponds to each mechanism, making large contraptions easier to organize and manage.
