Dye differently

I think that crystal are awsome but would be cooler if when surround it in a certain color (possibly multiple to make it reflect different colors from different sides) to maybe make it lightly reflect the color and make it naturally a clear colored crystal and be able to dye it so that it reflect more strongly and there should be a way to un-dye it among other things like glass. I think it would work well if say there was a new liquid you could make in a couldren and it un-dyed stuff when you dropped items in it.
