The Páramo is a new cold, high-altitude biome found on the slopes just below the highest mountain peaks. It is characterized by a thick, bluish fog that creates a sense of mystery and unparalleled beauty.
New Flora: The Frailejón (Espeletia)
This unique plant is the heart of the biome. Its thick, fuzzy leaves are used to brew a new Potion of Thermal Adaptation. This potion would grant players resistance to both Freezing (hypothermia) and Heat/Fire, making it a versatile tool for exploring extreme environments like the Nether or Snowy Slopes.
New Mob: The Spectacled Bear
A shy and peaceful inhabitant of the Páramo.
-
Behavior: It avoids players and will flee if approached too quickly.
-
Ability: It is the first bear capable of climbing trees and vertical surfaces to find food (like berries or bromeliads).
-
Temperament: Passive unless attacked or if a cub is nearby.
Environment Mechanic: Extreme Cold
The Páramo isn't just a place to look at; it’s a challenge. Without the proper equipment (Leather Armor) or the Thermal Adaptation Potion, players will gradually suffer the Freezing effect, simulating hypothermia. This makes the biome a rare, high-stakes area to find, but rewarding for those who want to master the elements.
