As Minecraft adds more specialized tools and items (pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe, sword, bow, crossbow, trident, spyglass, brush, etc.), late‑game players increasingly struggle with hotbar clutter. Carrying everything limits space for blocks and consumables, while storing tools in shulker boxes requires placing the box, opening it, swapping items, and picking it back up, which disrupts gameplay.
Idea: Add a new end‑game item called the Shulker Pack, crafted by surrounding a Bundle with Shulker Shells.
How it works:
The Shulker Pack is held in the main hand. When selected, it temporarily displays 4 configurable tool/weapon slots above the hotbar. These slots can hold tools, weapons, or utility items (such as a spyglass). The player manually selects which item to switch to.
Balance:
To prevent instant or reactionary swapping, selecting an item from the Shulker Pack triggers a short animation and a ~2 second delay before the item is equipped. This enforces intentional use, avoids panic switching in combat, and keeps the item balanced.
Why it fits Minecraft:
The Shulker Pack uses existing themes (shulkers = storage, bundles = organization), targets late‑game progression, and improves quality of life without removing challenge. It allows players to access more tools while keeping the hotbar flexible and uncluttered, providing a smoother alternative to constantly placing and breaking shulker boxes.
