Swift Sneak on Leggings

Swift Sneak should be an enchant unique to leggings, for these reasons:

1.      It's not overpowered when combined with the other boot enchantments. The enchants can't synergize in an overpowered way because sprinting exists, and there's not much water or soul sand in the ancient cities. Most enchantment exclusivity makes sense in the game, but this simply seems to be here to kill fun, as it's not overpowered in any means.

2.      Leggings are sorely in need of unique content. Helmets have 2 unique enchants, boots already have 4, and the chestplate has naturally-enchantable thorns and is the slot used for the elytra. The leggings have nothing to their name, give them something.

3.      Boots are already overloaded with enchants. More enchantments are always great, but the amount of enchantments boots can have compared to all the other armor pieces is kind of ridiculous. In addition, because of the enchantment exclusivity with other boot enchants, completionists such as myself will be forced to max out yet another set of boots, to put alongside our depth strider and frost walker pairs.


I also want to mention that the enchant allows you to sprint while sneaking, which I agree, is absolutely overpowered, and could be used as a counterargument. However, first of all, is that even intentional? And second of all, that's a problem with the mechanics of the enchantment itself. Putting it on boots and making it exclusive doesn't solve the issue.

    Yeah I'd love to stack swift sneak with soul speed to create fast anti-warden tracks as an alternative to wool.

    This especially makes sense as when you sneak you move your knees (in leggings) instead of your feet. It's already incredibly hard to have 7 useful enchantments of boots and unless they change the game there will be no way to add Swift Sneak on them.

    I agree completely! The leggings needs more enchantments. And i dont understand why swift sneak should be mutually exclusive to any existing boot enchantments.

    I agree... the boots have way too many enchants and leggings are neglected. besides, sneaking has more to do with the legs than the feet

    I don’t understand why it’s mutually exclusive when the only use case for it outside of PVP is avoiding the warden. I really don’t know if I would prioritize swift sneak over depth strider when one greatly increases mobility from the standard while the other simply makes crouching the same speed as waking.

    I think that enchantments that exclude each other should have a set reason. Depth Strider vs Frost Walker is a good example, because, well, no duh. But if people think that enchantments are too op together, you shouldn't make them exclusive to each other! Just raise enchantment cost to counteract the opness of it. I don't want to have multiple boots in my inventory! Exclusive enchantments should be exclusive ONLY because they're mechanics conflict! They should make a new thing tho where some enchantments raise the cost of others. If I had feather falling, and added depth strider, it would cost more levels. Then they would collectively greatly increase my soul speed cost, which would would significantly increase the XP cost of etc, etc, etc.

    I feel like leggings dont dont get much attention. when you sneak you move your knees. Thats why i think it should be on leggings. Compared to soulspeed where the soulsand would normally boost you because your feet are not caught by it.

    Leggings need more exclusive enchants that make sense. They should have depth strider since only legs power the user to swim, logically.
