Even though Dungeons are no longer the most "popular" structures, they are still highly sought after as a reliable alternative for Mob Farms due to how easy they are to set up. However, since their release, there has never been a specific way to locate these Dungeons (Skeleton, Zombie, or Spider). Finding them can be a real headache because there is no clear tracking method.
Adding a new trade for Cartographer Villagers to sell Dungeon Explorer Maps would be a simple yet incredibly useful addition. This would greatly help players who need to build XP and item farms. While building mob farms is more straightforward in Minecraft Java, it is much more complex and often less efficient in the Bedrock Edition. Having a reliable way to find Dungeons via maps would bridge this gap.
We already see this mechanic with other structures like Trial Chambers, Ocean Monuments, and Woodland Mansions. Adding Dungeons to the list of map-compatible structures fits the game's existing logic perfectly. It would encourage exploration with a clear goal and location in mind, providing a much better player experience for those looking to advance their world's infrastructure.
