The Concept:
Currently, the advancement "Free the End" feels like it lacks weight because the dimension stays exactly the same after the fight. I propose adding a new mechanic where defeating the Ender Dragon triggers a "rebirth" of the islands, turning the barren wasteland into a living environment.
How it works:
The "Life Block": Once the Dragon is defeated, the center portal emits a one-time "pulse." A new block (let’s call it End Moss or Ethereal Grass) begins to slowly spread from the portal across the End Stone.
The Spread: This isn't just a fast texture change. It spreads slowly over several in-game days, similar to how grass spreads to dirt, but only on the main island and eventually to the outer islands via the gateways.
New Vegetation: As the "Life Block" covers the stone, small, non-hostile plants like Void Sprouts or Luminescence Flowers begin to grow. These would provide a light source in the dark dimension.
Mismatched Hostility Fix: This transformation would change the spawn rates. Endermen would become less common on "revived" land, making the End feel safer and more "freed," while the dangerous, barren areas remain further out.
Why add this?
It gives players a visual sense of progression. Right now, the End is just a place you go to get an Elytra and leave. Making the dimension "wake up" gives builders a reason to stay, a new palette of blocks to work with, and actually fulfills the promise of "Freeing the End
