I want to make armor trims functional by giving them effects when a player wears a full matching set(4 pieces) of the same trim material. Currently armor trims are purely cosmetic. By adding functional bonuses the player has a real reason to collect templates. players can choose a sort of class based on their armor trim it makes the game more strategic and you can have more fun on SMPs.
Armor trims functionality list
Netherite: Grants Strength I/II.
Diamond: Grants Resistance II.
Iron: Grants Haste.
Gold: Grants Piglin neutrality and better bartering.
Emerald: Grants Villager trade discounts.
Copper: Grants a 1-second static shock stun on attackers( works like Thorns) and lightning control but inflicts Weakness I.
Redstone: Grants Speed II but inflicts Weakness I.
Lapis: Grants XP boost and xp from all ores including Ancient Debris but inflicts Weakness I.
Quartz: Grants Fire Resistance but you get damage from water and snow ( half a heart per second).
Amethyst: Grants a +25% Luck bonus when opening loot chests increasing the chance of finding rare items
