Currently, Ruined Portals are great for finding early-game resources, but their location in the Nether is completely random. They often feel like they are just "there" without a deeper purpose. My idea is to make these portals link directly to specific Nether structures, such as Bastions or, more rarely, near Nether Fortresses.
This change would make these portals highly desirable and strategically useful. It would give players a real reason to complete a specific portal to see where it leads. Furthermore, the size of the structure could scale with the reward: larger Ruined Portals could link to structures with better loot.
This also fits perfectly with the existing Gold Blocks found in Ruined Portals, as they would serve as a thematic hint that the portal is connected to a Piglin Bastion. It turns a random generation into a clear objective, encouraging exploration with a rewarding destination.
