Sniffer Fur – A New Material from Sniffers

The Sniffer in Minecraft has a soft, moss-like layer on its back. This could become a renewable decorative material called Sniffer Fur.

Shearing Sniffers

Players could use shears on a Sniffer to obtain Sniffer Fur.
After shearing, the Sniffer’s fluffy layer disappears temporarily.

Using Sniffer Fur

Sniffer Fur could work as an alternative to wool in crafting, creating special variants of wool items such as:

• Sniffer Fur Bed

• Sniffer Fur Carpets

These would have a soft mossy texture, perfect for nature builds.

Fur Regrowth

The fur could grow back if the Sniffer eats:

• Torchflower seeds

• Pitcher Plant

Optional: Rare Variants

Breeding Sniffers could rarely produce color variants, and extremely rarely a Golden Sniffer (like the Blue Axolotl).
These variants could produce different colored Sniffer Fur.
