Apples would be gained form apple trees in oak forests a tree with thinner logs then others but you could make a full block log with 4 of them in a crafting table, they would have oak colored wood with a red tint, the leaves would grow apples which could be picked, apples now also give hearts (half a heart) and could be baked for more hunger and saturation and give a full heart, there could also be baked golden apple, with 4 apples sugar and 2 bread you can make a apple pie having 9 slices each restoring a heart and giving 3 and a half hunger and saturation
