My idea involves improving compasses. They would retain their current function, but it would be interesting to have a small compass interface indicating whether we are going in the right direction or too far away, with exact numbers. For example, if we are at coordinates 200, 200, when we are going in the right direction, both numbers will decrease until they reach coordinates 0, which will be the exact location of our spawn point or the location marked by the magnetite. I believe the greatest functionality would be for compasses connected to the magnetite. When you click on it, being able to see if you are far away or not is very useful and would allow for greater utility of such a forgotten item. The interface could have X=111 Z=222. When both reach Zero, it will be the marked location and the final destination of the compass. For us players who are exploring and leaving locations marked with magnetite compasses, this would be pure gold for exploration, having the notion of whether we are near or far from a location. This could be applied to the return compass, with the distance decreasing each time you approach the place where you died. Having the idea of being far or near would always give us a reason to craft compasses and take them with us whenever we travel. In addition to the use of the magnetite block and the return compass, it's the final touch needed to complete the mechanic and give maximum utility to these compasses.
