Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Lattice blocks in minecraft.

Lattice, not to be confused with lettuce, is A crisscross shaped fence usually employed to keep animals out from under decks and houses.  These not only could be used for decorating decks but also dividers in restaurants. Builders could find so many other uses for these blocks. One lattice for each wood type could be added. Maybe even iron and gold lattice's.
