To make the game a bit more challenging, a new system could be implemented for mobs and their events. Here's my thoughts:
- The system would be called "Global Difficulty". Similar to Regional Difficulty, there would be a timer that slowly goes up (from 0.00 to 20.00) overtime, depending how long they've been on the world and how far their Progression is.
- For example about Progression, at the start of the game, it's at 0, and can only go up to 2.00 as the limit. Let's say the first time you make it into the Nether, the cap is increased to maybe 5.00. Obtaining Netherite gear, for example, could also increase it.
- One of the things this system could change is what I call Perfect Damage (Working title...). This form of damage surpasses all amor-side protective values, such as armor itself and enchantments. Perfect Damage can come from mobs, and it scales over time, depending on how high the Global Difficulty is. It can start low, at 1 DMG (Normal), and can be a maximum of 3 DMG (Normal). This damage is added on to whatever damage the mobs inflict.
- Of course, other aspects can be used for this too, such as how lava can damage you much more faster, and how spiders can have an effect on it. The list can go on.
