Whenever a new ore comes out, the community wants a toolset from them. This is not always logical. Examples would be Emerald Armour, or Lapis Lazuli Swords. One idea is Gem slots. You can take armour and add gems to the Armour. This can be done with swords and axes. This can add extra enchant ability. This can be done with Crossbows, but not Bows. This gem slotting can add room for extra enchantments, reduce enchanting costs, or make them more powerful. These could all be added depending on the gem. Adding Emerald makes villager trades better. Adding Lapis increases enchantment potency. Gilded armour can reduce piglin aggro range. Additional toolsets could be added. An Iron Bow, Copper toolsets, after all copper weapons are a thing. Also add copper fire. Adding a new lantern, torch and campfire but green. Back on topic, a new Villager profession could pop up, as the Jeweler. He can sell and buy gems and jewellery items. This can allow apparel like rings, bracelets and necklaces to be added. These can hold singular enchantments, maybe allowing necklaces to hold two enchantments or one powerful enchantment. The villager workstation would allow the crafting of these items. A slot for s bracelet and necklace would be added. Rings might be hard to implement but could simply stick out of the fist. These apparel items could spawn in dungeons, and spawned rooms, with Arcane Enchantments, lost to the ages. With more challenging enemies coming, new gear is needed for the challenge
