Since Skulk can spread through a mobs XP drop, I think a cool thing to add is exclusive variants of existing blocks that get affected by skulk.
For example, say there is some skulk and a mob dies near a tree. This tree then turns into a Skulk Tree (placeholder name). This tree is now a whole different type of wood and leaves. The interesting thing about this tree though is not only its variants but also the sapling. Unlike other saplings that grow on dirt and any light level, this tree needs to grow at light level of zero as well as on skulk blocks.
Another example would be skulk sand (placeholder). There isn't much different about skulk sand besides the unique coloration of the skulk theme. It will still smelt to glass. The sandstone variants will still be cool though.
I will note not every block will do this. No nether or end blocks will do this nor non essential blocks. Stone is possible but at same time probably not. It really just depends on what Mojang wants with this type of spreading.
