Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Block Frame

A block that acts as a mix of the Barrier block and an item frame, however; one, it's easily craftable for accessibility; two, it doesn't actually block entities from passing through, like water, lava, air, etc; and three, it's purely decorative.

It would have no texture. It would allow for blocks with dependencies to be placed without affecting existing mechanics. For example, a ladder is unable to be placed on the side of blocks or in the air. One could use the Block Frame for the ladder to be placed on. Useful for torches, flower pots, pressure plates, carpets, vines, signs, doors, end rods, levers, redstone, banners, and certainly many others.

Last but not least, an optional function could be dyeing the block to create "Cloud Blocks". They would look like translucent concrete that acts the same as the Block Frame.

    It would also be good if there was no block update for the
    block in the block frame such as coral_blocks and saplings. This would mean that the coral_blocks not lose their colour when there is no water and saplings would not grow into a tree.
