Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Stone cutters can make cobbled stones

A stonecutter should be able to turn deepslate and regular stone into their cobbled variants.  Also, the stonecutter would be able to turn stone and deepslate into the fancier versions their cobbled counterparts can.  (Thanks comments!)  I honestly don't know why this isn't already a feature because it makes so much sense.  To go a bit further, turn cobblestone into gravel.  Then gravel into sand.  Perhaps the devs. could also add Cobbled Andesite, granite, and Diorite?  We will just have to wait and see.

    Yes please came to post the same thing about stone cutters and stone + deepslate.

    Either that or let the stone cutter turn stone and deepslate into the same fancy shapes that it can do for cobbled stone and cobbled deepslate.
