Copper Conductor

It's anoying to make redstone go vertically and I can never make it work so what if there was a block that could transfer redstone signals? With a copper conductor, you could have a network of them and if one was touching an activated redstone dust block it would transmit the same signal through all of the copper conductors. The crafting recipe would probably be four copper ingots around a piece of redstone and would not oxidize.
