Volcanos can either be active, dormant, or Dead.
Active:
Active volcanos could have lava start flowing down them, destroying trees and vegetation on the mountain, when a player reaches that area. An idea could be a boom sound effect and the screen could shake, or it could just generate with lava at the top of it with no boom sound effect or screen shake.
Dormant:
Dormant volcanos could have a deep hole where there used to be lava. Coal iron and other easy to find minerals fill it. The hole could end at the deepslate zone but have a huge lava lake at the bottom.
Dead:
Dead volcanos should look like regular mountains but on the inside, there is the same hole the dormant volcanos have but no lava lake at the bottom. It should be filled with better kinds of minerals than the dormant volcano like emeralds, amethyst geodes, diamonds and more the deeper you go!
