Trident Thrust Attack

Can you make tridents have there own unique combat feature like a thrust attack? I know axes have the ability to disable sheilds and swords have a faster cooldown, right now tridents don't have a special feature and so I was thinking instead of having a critical hit you can change that to a thrust attack for tridents only and what it does is give your opponent a bleeding effect that does six points of overtime damage the way you activate it will be the same way you activate a critical hit and if you have the impaling enchantment the attack does one more point of damage depending on which impaling enchantment you have on your trident.
