Jukebox Amplifiers using Copper/Sulk

Jukeboxes and music discs are unique because they are a vanity item for most players, getting one is fairly difficult for beginners and collecting all (the good ones) is fairly difficult for the more seasoned player. But as it stands now you can't do anything else in your world if you want to listen to the disc, adding a way for players to amplify their discs would be a great way to add incentive to this system, especially following Pigstep and Otherside. Maybe each amplifier would only need to be have direct line of sight to either a jukebox or another activated amplifier. Being craftable with some combination of copper and sulk / wood?  fits the technology theme of copper without stepping on Redstone and this would be a great application for sulk. Would love to see more side systems like this added to the game, maybe even a way to make custom noteblock song/discs??
