Blue-Tongued Skinks in Minecraft

Minecraft has loads of mobs but there is little diversity, we have an array of fish and mammals. But we only have one species of reptile, so far. I think the perfect new mob for minecraft would be a blue-tongued skink, it could be incorporated in the desert update. The skink would be a small passive mob spawning in mesa and desert biomes. They could be bred with cactus. I don't really have an idea for the drops. It would be one of the smallest minecraft mobs and be a little smaller than an axolotl.

They could ward off some hostile mobs like how cats scare off creepers and phantoms because in real life when cornered, blue tongued skinks display their blue tongue which predators believe means the skink is venomous.
