Given that frogs are being added to the 1.19 wild update, it would be fun to fantasize them into the style of the nether so they can fit in.
Ashen Stools: A new frog type that will spawn specifically in the Basalt Deltas and have two variants, one being black stone and the other being basalt. Only thing that makes them different from normal frogs is the geyser on their back. They eat pieces of ash within the air and with enough can erupt the geyser on its back. Anything that is above the geyser when it erupts will be boosted up quite high, so keep eyes out for these things to avoid being flung high up. This also works with fireflies, so keep note to that in case you wish to bring one home to the overworld. Upon death it will simply drop either basalt or black stone given its type of variety.
Bonus: Ash layers can form in the Basalt Deltas as a replica of snow layers in the overworld, adding more ambience to the biome (It literally snows ash, so it makes sense and adds a nice "snowy" ambience.).
