New Nether Biome: Tar Pits

This nether biome will consist of a brown fog with dropping black particles that generate as rare as basalt deltas. a new dark grey stone called asphalt will generate in this biome. Patches of a new obtainable liquid called tar exclusively generate in this biome too, which is a dark brown liquid that can span from a small puddles up to large oceans of it. the depths that these tar pools will typically range around 1 block only but can go to a depth of 4 blocks, these tar pools can also contain semi submerged ancient fossils. This new liquid tar, moves the slowest out of water and lava, where it turns into asphalt when it touches water, and cobblestone against lava. When a player enters tar, they are slowed down significantly and becomes difficult to swim in. 2 new mobs will also exclusively spawn in this biome as well, which are the sludge, a brown slime like hostile mob that crawls rather than hops and can shoot tar projectiles at the player. As well as a friendly/neutral mob called skeleton pigs. Zombified piglins will also naturally spawn in this biome too.

    A new black/dark brown block can be made from buckets of tar too, called Pitch Tar. This sticky block allows the player jump below it and stick to the ceiling and walk then crouch to stop sticking to the ceiling, something unique that even the slime and honey block doesn’t allow you to do. It could also be a very good source of fuel for furnaces, smelting up to 90 items which just short of a lava bucket. Perhaps Pitch Tar could even make you travel faster when you ride a boat on it, to be a new fast transport block that replaces ice! (Though it kinda does contradict the stick feature it has).

    Tar could maybe even give you a slowness effect when a player enters a pool, since tar is very sticky!
