I LOVE the new mountains as I think we all do. This is just an idea for one last addition the team could work on for the future that could bring this new addition to its final form! The mountains look amazing, but living in Colorado on the front range of the Rocky Mountains, I felt one thing was missing from these new mountains: A real genuine Mountain Range. They are very spread out when they spawn together and you don't find large walls of mountains like you would in real life, something I was really hoping to find.
My solution to this: A new mountain type called Monumental Mountains. Now with this mountain, this would be a set of 1-4 peaks that would reach much closer to build height (perhaps even going above to rangers closer to 300) and would have a set relationship so that when they spawn a line of the new smaller mountains from 1.18 will always spawn connecting to this mountains for a chain (perhaps between 3-6 of these). In the end this would make it so we could find beautiful Mountain Ranges that could add to this amazing world and just enhance this last great idea a bit further!
To add, perhaps adding a relationship to the river system so they have a tendency to spawn from mountains and generally flow toward oceans. it would make a lot of sense!
A final new mountain would be the Glacier. It would have a chance to spawn in these rangers, have a river flow from it, and be a giant slab of ice with cracks in it with perhaps bones mixed in or fossils!!!
