Even with player collisions turned off, riptide tridents still collide with other players. This is because the combat function of riptide stops a player once they hit a target. In many situations, this can be frustrating for the player. I would like to request an option to disable the attack function of Riptide so that when using riptide enchanted tridents, it would no longer collide with other players.
This will be very useful in various minigames. For example, if a race primarily uses tridents as a movement mechanic, having no collisions with other players would greatly improve the experience.
