I recently experimented with making a super fast piston feed chain after learning about 1/2 redstone ticks (by observing a changed state scaffolding block), but learnt that a 2x2 single block feed tape being moved in a total of 4 blocks by 4 pistons, doesn't work well at 1 redstone tick delay because the redstone/game/code just can't keep up. The contrpation works, though some pistons fire too fast or too slow or fire twice in a row and other weird stuff.
It's a big ask to "make redstone good" but it'd be awesome to have robust redstone. Especially for making builds using pistons to look much cooler, like with every single redstone door it always looks laggy and weird, as it takes time to render the moved block or the pistons moved so fast it makes the game look weird for a second etc
