Bonemealing a block will promote the growth of the crop above it. First of all, I apologize for my poor grammar with a narrow knowledge but I think it would be great if you could bonemeal a block and make the seed grow on it. Logically, it makes sense if you give it a think, plants get their nutrients from the dirt and the nutrition here is the bonemeal, imagine you click on the farmland block or the grass with sapling above it and the crops would grow up. I don't know how this will or will not helping the mechanism but this is an idea .-.
