With 1.18, we will have a brand new ore generation, and big Iron and Copper veins, in a span of 128 blocks of underground. But many player want more veins. Here I have an idea to satisfy those players
Ore generation
The underground will be divided in 3 zones:
- Surface (y 64-30): in this layer there are many types of stone; granite, andesite, diorite etc. Also, the only ore that spawn here are Iron, Coal and Copper (Gold for Badlands and Emeralds for Mountains)
- Undeground (y 30-0): this layer has less different stone types, mostly there is regular stone and lava. Here spawn Diamond's, Redstone, Gold, Lapis
- Deepground (y 0 to -64): only deepslaate as stone type and rare ores
Ore patches generation
When an Ore patch is generated, there is a 30% chance that a new ore patch would spawn adjacent to the original one, but smaller than the first from 10% to 50%; when an extra patch is generated, the chance of generating another extra patch is reduced by 4%, so, there is a chance that we can find a bigger ore patch, without being it a real ore Vein, like Iron and Copper
