Another unique loot that I think should be found in Deep Dark Cities is the Sculk Chirper! What does it do?
Well, first of all, this has the option to be worn on your head like my other idea, the Sculk Receptor, but has a main function as a block.
When placed down as a block, it'll emit a weak light signal, and will have an animation somewhat similar to an activated sculk sensor. However, while holding a Sculk Receptor (read: Deep Dark Loot: Sculk Receptor – Minecraft Feedback,) the block will obtain a glowing effect for the player, allowing you to see it through walls. What use does this have? Well, for builders, it's hard to mark certain areas that you want to be part of your base, like dungeon spawners. With this, you can place the Chirper near the spawner, and you'll be able to easily build your base without needing to revise it afterwards in order to fit the spawner in! This would also help with transportation and mining quite a lot! But what about when it's worn on your head?
When on your head, this won't blind you- instead, anyone using a Sculk Receptor would be able to see you while it's worn on your head, as you'll be marked with the same sculk glowing effect I mentioned in that post. On top of this, mobs will have a shorter tracking range, similar to when you wear a mob head.
