Hello,
My idea is called the sound recorder. (name may change)
The sound recorder would be a new block that has massive redstone and creative potential. It is able to record in game sound onto a blank music disk so that it is able to be played back in a jukebox. This means you would finally be able to record note block tunes and play them back to friends. This block would also (when a comparator is hooked up to it) output a redstone signal with the same strength that sound is loud. This means loud sounds like tnt output strong signals while close footsteps output a small redstone signal. You can also do the same for jukeboxes where your music disk with varying loudness will output varying redstone strength when a comparator is used. This means it is possible to use these disk as a somewhat redstone storage media where a custom recorded music disk could be used as a key in a contraption or if you are capable a custom sequence of different loudness is played back in a jukebox where it is able to make a single redstone build to do different things. I would use it so that when I play my loud disk a secret door will open or my soft disk where my house explodes. This block would be a great addition as it will not affect gameplay but able to add to redstone users and for players to share what their surrounding area sounds like.
ps, I quite enjoy the current music disks and would love for more people to listen to them as it surprises me that some haven't yet. <3
