Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

The boomstick: a throwable, explosive projectile made from copper

 
The boomstick would be a throwable, explosive projectile made from copper, string and gunpowder. It would be a useful weapon when fighting a swarm of mobs in areas like the overworld or new megacaves. You can only throw it half the distance of other throwable projectiles (eggs, snowballs etc.) and there would be a 4 second cooldown in between throws. It would do less damage than tnt and would cause less destruction as well. I think this would be good for giving copper more uses in the game.
 
The boomstick would appear as a stick of dynamite, with a red-orange metallic texture to it.
 
Similar to how you can shoot fireworks from a crossbow, you would be able to shoot the boomstick as well. They would act as explosive arrows in the game. To prevent it from being overpowered, it would take twice as much time to load up a boomstick on the crossbow than it would a normal arrow.

    I would change few things from the original post:

    Same speed of throwing as eggs/snowballs...

    On landing, it tries to destroy only 1 block:

    • for both the throwable and the arrow version
    • destroy-ability's efficiency varies, depending on the copper stage (English word is oxydation?).
