For many players, it's frustrating that sometimes, their bed gets obstructed or removed, forcing them to respawn away from home and lose most of their progress, selling plenty of time to griefers (if on multiplayer). And there are also times where their spawn point, or even the world spawn, had been made unsafe, leaving players unable to play, and it has been incredibly frustrating. That's WHY we NEED the game to keep track of players' respawn points.
How this works:
The game keeps track of the players' respawn points. Once a player sleeps in a bed or right-clicks a respawn anchor (for the first time since they were placed), the respawn point count of that player increases by one. Subsequent respawn point settings on those set respawn points will renew the last respawn setting timestamp. Then, when a player dies and their current bed/respawn anchor is obstructed or removed, the player then respawns at their last respawn point, according to the timestamp said above, until all of the respawn points that the player had used is destroyed. The same will happen if the player had died at least 3 times within 3 blocks of the set spawn point. However, if there has been 10 player deaths at world spawn (not directly by other players) and the players killed does not have any other spawn point, the game will relocate it to a safer place.
Is this feature optional?
Players can turn this off if they want to, but only when creating a new world. It's on by default on Survival and Creative modes.
