Yes, of course, for this, the tomatoes should be added, but since that has already been suggested hundreds of times, I am going to make it a little more attractive since Mojang doesn't seem to like the simple idea of adding another unused food (and to me the truth is that either).
What if in addition to the obvious uses of tomato, it could be used to throw them at other players or just everything.
It could dart into other players' houses and have the tomato stay on the wall for a while before disappearing. In case of throwing himself at a player, he could apply a kind of "blindness" to him like when you use a Carved Pumpkin.
So that this function isn't so unbalanced of course it would not work with all tomatoes, only throwing many with a low probability, with a couldown and/or a short duration of "blindness".
And if you surely thought that eggs will also work for this, but tomatoes seem much more fun to me.
