Sculk catalysts sound like a really epic idea. They're a pillar of corruption that will cast its devil magicks at anything that is dead, kind of like a fungus. But the catalysts spreading sculk shouldn't be based on how much XP the entity drops. It should also be based on any organic drops from the entity since real-life fungi decompose those too.
But not just that. If the entity either drops a lot of meat, or a lot of XP, the catalyst should either cast a shrieker, or another catalyst.
Lastly, if the catalyst gets a response for the warden's death, it should try and cleanse a bit off sculk, to ensure that there is a bit of purpose in killing the Warden, but you're better off digging all of it with a hoe.
