Minecraft 1.21 Cosmetic Update
This update is all about improving the ways that biomes are generated, how some tools/armour look and the way arrows hit there targets/Particles.
Gems
Gems are an item that can be crafted and applied to tools/armour/weapons in a crafting table to change there texture and give them a particle effect which occurs on an entity that has been hit by the weapon, the particle could range from an enderman teleport particle to a lava particle(This would not buff the item in any way, it is only a cosmetic). Arrows would have gems applied to them through the fletching table, you would be able to add a single gem to a stack of arrows not just one, by adding a gem it would change its texture and also give it a trail. When the gemmed bows are shot they summon a small explosion of particles that look different depending on the gem that lasts half a second.
Biome Landscapes
Biomes like the Desert, Birch and Acacia would finally get a change with deserts having Oasis’s and have big hills of sand like dunes, Birch forests always having tall trees and branches coming off which bee hives hang from, and Acacia’s having very big trees but less trees and for it to be a lot flatter and less mountains/hills, and all mountains/hills will only be made of stone and be thin but tall. Also Jungles would have taller tree that have a lot more leaves and a lot more branches, it would also ferns on the ground that are a few blocks tall and more spread out leaves.
