I think it’d be cool if there was a new enchantment called “Persistence” or “Lasting/Long Lasting”, that made it to where whatever item it was applied to would stay in your inventory when you died (I know Hardcore and Keep-Inventory players are laughing right now), or made them immune to despawning. For people that play Minecraft without Keep-Inventory, they lose their stuff a lot, whether it’s in lava, the void, or just a zombie. With this enchantment, you would be able to keep your most valuable items all to yourself, and not risk the chance of them despawning with all your other stuff (given that you didn’t die in lava or the void). This enchanted book could only be found in the Deep Dark loot chests (you cannot get it via an enchanting table), which would be the player’s reward for sneaking past the Warden. Because the Warden will be responsible for A LOT of deaths, this enchantment would help regulate the amount of tools/gear that people are losing, with the player only applying this enchantment to their most precious items, and hopefully not losing them all on their next trek down into the Deep Dark.
P.S. The enchantment would NOT mean it couldn’t leave your inventory, nor does it mean it can’t be destroyed, just that it wouldn’t fall out of whoever’s inventory it was in when that player died (or not despawn maybe).
