The armor in Minecraft should be updated. Iron, for example, could make the player slower while being resistant to a form of damage (swords, axes, crits, etc). Chain could offer some protection against swords while not slowing down the player as much. Netherite could protect against knockback and damage in general while featuring its slow speed to the player as a trade-off. This would provide a more dynamic combat system. Currently, if two players are of equal skill and gear, the only difference being armor, the player with the better armor would be likely to win. The update would give rise to the horse as a tool of combat in Minecraft, being a mode of transportation not or limitedly affected by the change. With this update implemented, PVP with multiple players turns from being entirely about numbers and experience to featuring tactics and superior strategy. Need to see the changes? The current battle features two sides clashing, men of great skill dominate all others before they give chase to their retreating foes. Every battle has two variables and two variables only: gear and skill. Picture this: the enemy is approaching, the scouts having outpaced them report their positions. As the sides engage in combat, different opponents require different soldiers, different gear require different strategies. As the battle rages on, you order your men to march ahead, then the opponent begins to surround your army. As you can see your demise, your calvary arrives, winning the battle.
