Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Topographical Maps

What if there were Topographical Maps in Minecraft? These maps would be able to show changes in Elevation from the surface when placed. While being a map they would probably fare better as a halfway NPC- Halfway Block like the Armor Stand when placed. they could essentially act as little models of the surrounding area.

    I second the motion. I was thinking adding ink to a regular map would create a gray-scale topographical one that otherwise behaves the same way other maps do. But having a special display block for them that actually creates a 3D block model of the map would be really cool.
