It doesn't seem right that you can obtain the same status effects from a full iron beacon as you can from a full Netherite beacon.
I suggest that, along with the existing tier system, a new, material-related system should be added to beacons. The more expensive the material (Netherite being the most expensive, obviously), the better the benefits. It could modify the range of the beacon, the level of the buffs, more buff options, negative effects for nearby hostile mobs, or a combination of these. The tier level should be as follows:
Iron: Weakest. Level 1 buffs only (i.e. haste 1, resistance 1, etc.)
Gold: Weak. Level 2 buffs, and maybe a boost to any nearby enchantment tables
Emerald: Fair. Level 3 buffs, and maybe an effect similar to "Hero of the Village" added to available choices
Lapis: Fair. Level 3 buffs, and removes the need of lapis in any nearby enchantment tables, also applies fortune/looting to all tools used in its vicinity.
Diamond: Strong. Level 4 buffs, maybe a tertiary effect in addition to the primary and secondary.
Netherite: Strongest. Level 5 buffs, and sets all hostile mobs within its range on fire.
These are just my ideas. Please comment if you have any additional suggestions. Thanks!
