Add a mud item which can be crafted to and into a mud block. When we right-click a mud item, if we aren't targetting anything, it makes us muddy. If we are targetting an entity, then it makes that entity muddy. When an entity is muddy, it gets wekness and slowness 1. When a muddy entity (including a player) is killed, they drop the mud item. Ender Dragons, Withers and Wardens can't become muddy for obvious reasons. There is chance that muddy pigs spawn in the world, mostly near mud patches. When any entity gets in water when they are muddy, they become clean. Add a quicksand block that generates in swamps and works like powder snow but instead of killing you it makes you muddy. The warden can't smell you when you are muddy. And if dogs are muddy they can shake it off and have a chance to make nearby entities muddy.
