I see all kinds of people asking for Bedrock for M1. That doesn't seem as likely and I don't use it. I am 100% in favor of, and begging for, Java edition for M1, so please include a native Java + native GPU support for M1 Macs. I'd like my jacked up MBP M1 Max to play like a jacked up MBP M1 Max. Thank you!

I think Minecraft for M1 processors will be powerful and efficient! I'm waiting for the Bedrock versions to play with my friends.

With how easy it should be I'm surprised you haven't done it yet...

Please send out some news on this, it'd be nice to know if you're even working on it...

This is not a difficult thing, the LWJGL group even made a build for Arm JUST for minecraft.

I agree! I saw a method to get it working with a 'wrapper' and thought...why doesn't Mojang just port their existing iPad version that was working prior to Apple removing the ability to side load apps.

I started with Java years ago. We use Bedrock now with a Realms server so we can play on our consoles, but I want to use my Mac m1 to manage the server, set up my custom command block mods, and play. I very much dislike having to use a keyboard or controller on the Xbox or Switch to manage the server. I'd like to be able to use copy and paste!

Please add Minecraft to Mac M1 !

That would be great, because as seen through unofficial methods, this boosts your FPS drastically, and can get you performance almost as good as on gaming PCs

Official support would be fantastic. The game runs exceptionally well on the non official Java 64bit methods.

Given that Apple is *clearly* moving toward putting their M1 chip in everything (of course, why would they not?), I have to hope that means Bedrock, at least, will eventually be made to work with M1 chips. Otherwise that means leaving iOS users completely out, and I think that's too big a market share that they currently have that they would lose. It's a huge percentage of smartphones, and more than half the tablet market.  I don't know what percentage of revenue mobile gaming is for Minecraft, probably not huge I would guess, but also not so small they didn't bother with it, hence the existence of PE.  So I hope that means eventually Bedrock will be on M1 chips, and then I'll be able to play it on my Mac without jumping through a bunch of annoying hoops.

Some users seem to be asking for the Minecraft Launcher to install a JVM / JRE built for ARM, and use that for Java Minecraft.  That's what I'm voting for, it seems crazy that M1 has been around for 2 years and the launcher I downloaded from the Minecraft website yesterday still installs and x86 Java runtime that has to go through Rosetta.

Other users seem to be asking for a Mac port of Bedrock / Minecraft for Windows.  I'm confused -- I thought M1 Macs could load any iPad app directly from the App Store, and I thought the iPad version of Minecraft was already more or less the same as MfW.  Is one of those assumptions wrong?  (My kids won't touch Bedrock with a 10-foot pole, so I haven't had a chance to try it.)
