This would spawn in the new mangrove swamps as a neutral mob. It would deal 3 damage on easy, 5 damage on normal, and 7 damage on hard. would be 1.1 blocks tall, 1.0 blocks wide and 1.2 blocks long. They would prey upon cod, salmon and frogs. If approached, they would run away, similar to ocelots. If attacked, they would defend themselves, hissing at their attacker. On normal and above, they would inflict poison upon the intruder for 5-7 seconds. On hard, they would also inflict blindness, once the intruder reaches below half health. They could be approached by holding raw cod or salmon to prevent them from escaping, and bred. Like turtles, they would lay eggs, similar to turtle eggs in colour, but without the green spots. After a similar length of time to turtle eggs, the lizard eggs would hatch. During the time before the eggs hatch, the mother would closely protect her eggs, attacking even undead mobs to keep them safe. It would cling to the undead mobs with its claws to deal more damage. It could be tamed using rotten flesh. It would be an alternative to wolves, attacking any mob you wish. It would deal less damage than a wolf, but inflict poison and blindness upon the intruder.
Upon killing one, it would drop 1-2 raw monitor lizard meat. It would be cooked to restore 7 hunger points, but with a higher saturation length than steak or porkchops. Using a bottle, it could be milked for their venom, which could be used to brew potions of blindness.
