Since the upcoming Wild Update seems to be focusing on improving the Overworld's ambience and giving biomes their own unique identity, I think that adding glowing mushrooms to the Dark Forest biomes would give them a truly magical atmosphere, especially so at night. These mushrooms would grow around, and maybe even on the dark oak trees present in the biome, and emit a light level of a round 6 or 7. Another detail that I believe could help them stand out would be them coming in multiple neon colors, such as pink, yellow, blue and green. I know that Minecraft's current lighting system would prevent them from having matching colored glows, but I think the effect would be felt regardless of this setback. I also think that many builders with fantasy styles would enjoy using these, especially if they could be placed on the sides of blocks. Another change that could synergize with these mushrooms well could be dark oak leaves allowing less light through than other blocks, which would also work with the theme of Dark Forest biomes.
